Schooling days provide an opportunity to school in a relaxed environment, using the Dressage arena, Stadium Arena and over the same Cross-Country course as will be used for Sunday’s unrecognized Horse Trial.
Schooling Days are open to everyone regardless of if they are entered in Sunday’s Horse Trial or not.
The stadium course for Sunday’s Horse Trial will use the same jumps, but will be a different course.
Online pre-registration is required. Please register using this link. Registrations must be received by midnight on Wednesday. Payment is required at the time of entry. If space allows day of registrations will be accepted with an additional $20 fee. There will be no refunds for schooling days unless this event is cancelled by Valinor Farm in which case your fee will be refunded less a $10 office fee.
Dressage Schooling: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please adhere to 15 minute time slots per rider. Riders may return for multiple slots if time allows. Trainers with groups may request specific times slots when registering. Reserved time slots will be posted online.
Stadium Schooling : 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please adhere to 5 minute time slots per rider. Riders may return for multiple slots if time allows. Trainers with groups can request specific time slots when registering. Reserved time slots willbe posted online. You are welcome to adjust jump heights as you wish.
X-Cty schooling: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Jumps will be flagged and numbered. Riders must have a Cross-Country vest and a coach or ground person. No lone riders. No motorized vehicles are permitted. Be respectful of the property. Stay out of muddy areas and to preserve footing, no more than three attempts are allowed at any one jump or combination.
Fees:
Saturday Open Schooling Day:
- All 3 phases $100
- Cross-Country Only $65
- $25 discount for anyone that is schooling all 3 phases and is also entered in the Sunday Schooling Trial (discount will be applied to the Horse Trial entry fee)
General Information:
- Riders will be assigned a dressage number which is to be worn at all times.
- Stadium: will be held in the outdoor ring with all weather footing
- Times: Reserved times will be posted online, The rings are available if they are not shown as reserved.
- Food: Will not be available – please bring your own.
- Dogs: Must be leashed at all times.
- Stabling: a limited number of stalls are available for Saturday – Sunday for horses registered on both days. The fee is $75, you can reserve those on the Horse Trial Registration page.
- Refunds: There will be no refunds for schooling days unless this event is cancelled by Valinor Farm. In this case your fee will be refunded less a $25 office fee.
